As with most people I know, It started when I was a child and it’s been something that I’ve struggled with my whole life. When I was good, I was rewarded with treats. When I was sad or upset, I was cheered up with something sweet. Every time there was a special occasion, we enjoyed sugar. Can you relate?
It wasn’t until 4 years ago that I realized exactly how much control sugar had over my life and my health. It was at this time that I stumbled into a sugar detox by accident. My eyes were blown WIDE OPEN and I could no longer ignore the addiction that I clearly had.
It wasn’t that long ago that I couldn’t even imagine having dinner without dessert or not loading up on Nibs on my way to the movie theater. I never thought there would be a day when I physically couldn’t stomach a Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino. Since my eye-opening week only 4 years ago, my life has drastically changed.
I no longer feel a need to snack throughout the day.

I feel in control of my eating habits.
I have lasting all day energy.
I no longer deal with guilt when I want to indulge in a sugary treat.
And the best part is knowing that I am doing everything I can to avoid my genetic disposition to diabetes, obesity, cancer, and heart disease.
