Spring has sprung!

I’m sure you’re just as excited as I am.

My favourite part of spring is watching the planet come to life again. Plants grow, trees become green, people start to come out of their houses more, and it’s not dark at 5 PM! The BEST part is watching the farmers markets and fresh local produce pop up all around me.

What to do with all of this amazing, fresh and local produce?

Make smoothies!

I know they have been getting A LOT of attention lately and rightfully so as long as they are done right (yes you can do them wrong). Smoothies are an excellent way to refresh, pack in nutrients, and get a good daily dose of vegetables, vitamins, & minerals in an easy to digest way.

These are a few of my favorites with a mixture of my creations and other geniuses that deserve some praise in the smoothie department.

Instructions for all smoothies is to place ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth- pretty darn easy.

This is my go to post-fitness smoothie. It’s packed with delicious proteins, carbohydrates, healthy fats & much-needed electrolytes that keep me feeling strong after my work-outs. I almost never leave the house without one of these by my side.
