Happy September!

Kids are back at school, the weather is getting cooler, and life is getting back to “normal” after all the summer fun.

And maybe you’re also feeling a bit exhausted from all that comes with summer.

Almost every woman I talk to complains about having low energy on a daily basis. Being exhausted at the end of the work day and barely able to put dinner on the table let alone have energy to play with the kids or do anything other than park on the couch.

Can you relate?

There’s no arguing how having low energy every day can affect the quality and joy in your life. Not being able to do the things that are really important to you. These things take energy and if you’re exhausted and drained all the time then it will directly affect your happiness and health.

But you already know this.

Maybe now you’re just not sure HOW to get back on track and feel alive and energized in your body.

Heck, maybe it’s been YEARS since you’ve felt energized without 5 cups of coffee.

There are so many things that drain our energy on a daily basis (we’ll be diving into the full list during next week’s “Find More Energy in 5-Days Challenge“).

Sorry to break it to you, there’s no “magic pill” to getting your natural energy back.

The real solution to finding your energy again starts with taking a good hard look at this list of “energy robbers” and doing something about them. Period.

And after assessing the foods and things in your life that are draining your energy, there are some pretty amazing things that you CAN do to feel more energized right away (without a hit of coffee or sugar!)

I’ll be sharing my full list of energizing activities in the upcoming challenge (get registered here!), but today I wanted to share my top 3 favourites with you!

1. Breathe (Breath of fire, Full body power breath). The breath is something we often forget throughout our day and can sometimes be the reason that we’re feeling tight, heavy, and exhausted. Taking some time to focus on your breath not only calms your nervous system (who couldn’t use some of that!?) but it can also pump blood and oxygen quickly into your cells to help you feel more awake and energized! I’ll be showing these two breath techniques I love to use during the upcoming live challenge so be sure to join the fun to see me in action!

2. Get some sunshine. I get that this isn’t always possible, but getting out in the sun and feeling it on your face and in your eyes (no sunglasses!) is a great way to feel more awake especially if you’ve been spending all day starting at your computer. Even if the sun isn’t shining, get outside for even just a 5-10 minute power walk and focus on breathing in that great air and moving your body.

3. Dance it out! I struggled picking my top 3 techniques to share with you here (there are so many great ones!) but of course I have to include dancing! Blasting your favourite song either at home or in the car and moving that body not only moves stuck or negative energy in your body, but it also gets the blood flowing and helps you feel more connected and grounded in yourself. Energy bonus: sing along at the top of your lungs!

So, next time you’re feeling exhausted, remember you have these very quick and easy techniques you can try BEFORE your each for that 3rd coffee or quick sugar fix.

And remember if you’re wanting to find REAL and LASTING long term energy, it’s going to have to start with understanding WHERE your energy is being drained off in the first place.

I can’t wait to dive into all things energy AND have a mini detox/re-set in the upcoming “Find More Energy in 5 Days” Challenge.

I hope you’ll be joining us for all the fun that starts September 9th!

Love & Light,

Dani
