Happy 2020!

I’ve had an interesting last 10 days sliding into a fun holiday season only to get side slapped by a BAD head cold on Christmas day that knocked me on my butt for a full week.

I hope you faired better than I did and were able to enjoy every moment of the holiday season in your household 🙂

I’m curious…are you were you thought you would be at the end of the year?

Or are you way behind on your goals you set out for in Jan 2019?

Well… welcome to the club.

I personally didn’t hit my big goals for the year.

And you know what.

I’m GLAD!

Because for me it’s not about setting arbitrary goals at the start of every year.

I have a big problem with New Years Resolutions.

Most people (maybe you) set goals that sound nice but aren’t really based on a DEEP connection with what you want in life.

Then they’re left feeling like a failure at the end of every year. Only to carry over the same tired goal into the next year and hope for the best.

Are you setting the same “loose weight”, “hydrate more”, “learn to meditate”, “eat less sugar” goal from last year?

Have you ever thought that maybe something needs to change?

Maybe you too could ditch the classic NY resolutions and try something different this year…

Here’s my plan over the next few weeks. And the trick is to NOT rush it. There’s no RULE saying you have to have a list of resolutions by Jan 2nd every year!

– Take plenty of time over the next week to really reflect and journal on 2019. What did I learn, what do I want to do more of, what do I want to do less of…

– Connect deeply with my values and my big 10 year dreams. Brainstorming it all out.

– THEN get clear on what I’m excited to focus on this year (1-3 items) in each area of my life.

– Once I’m clear on my big plans for 2020, I’ll be making an action plan for each item listing out milestones and daily action steps I will take towards these goals.

And here’s the REAL TRICK…

Every single MONTH, I’ll take an afternoon to review and assess where I’m at with my goals. I’ll check in on what is working and what isn’t working.

And if my goal no longer excites me, I’ll ditch it. Just like that. Move on to a new direction (I did this at least 4 times in 2019).

Just because you set a goal doesn’t mean you have to keep it!

Goals are just guides. Guides to help you feel the way you want to feel. Guides to help you become the person you want to be.

So let this be your permission to do things different in 2020.

I sure know, I will and I can’t wait to share every step of the way with you.

Ready to finally do something different for your health to actually see results that last?
