Ever hear your inner voice (or your mom’s voice) saying this?

“Cooking is a waste of my time”

“Cooking is boring”

Or maybe you find yourself constantly feeling uninspired in the kitchen and struggling to find the joy in it.

I hear yah.

And to be brutally honest, THIS is the single biggest issue our WHOLE society is facing when it comes to our health.

Somewhere after the agricultural revolution, we decided that cooking for ourselves was no longer an important use of our time.

Slowly, over decades, other things became more important to spend our time on.

Working 12 hour days.

Volunteering at organizations we love.

Driving all over town to deliver the kids to their sports events.

Binge watching on Netflix.

Spending 2+ hours scrolling on Facebook & Instagram every day.

Now let me be clear. I am NOT saying that you’re a bad person if you don’t enjoy cooking or you work a full time job.

What I am saying is that our whole view of cooking has become completely screwed up.

And this is why we’re sick, overweight, addicted to sugar, and suffering with chronic diseases like never before in history.

We’re being pushed to go for the quick meal, the take out, the frozen dinner… the meals with ZERO nutritional value. The foods that keep us coming back for more because they’re so “simple” and “quick”.

The fast and quick food movement is the single biggest detriment to our health EVER.

Think about this for a second….

What do you need to live?

Hint: no, it’s not your phone, your car, or your job.

Love & Connection

At a primal level, that’s it.

But life isn’t that simple anymore is it?

We’ve got busy lives with many responsibilities.

But the hard truth is this. Until we come back to VALUING and PRIORITIZING spending time cooking for ourselves (with real ingredients) we will never be healthy. We will forever be plagued by chronic diseases that rob us of the quality of life we always wanted.

And it’s time we got back to that. To putting our time into the things that help us truly thrive… not into shopping, scrolling Facebook, or watching TV.

So, my question to you this week is this.

How can you start to prioritize time in your kitchen?

How can you make it fun again?

What do you need to say no to so that you can learn to nourish yourself again?

Step by step, you CAN make the time to cook. It’s just a matter of making the choice.

Ready to discover a joyful and healthy relationship with your kitchen? Want to fall in love with cooking again?

I LOVE helping my clients create a new way of living in which cooking is a source of joy instead of a nuisance.
